August 9, 2006 – Galantis has finalized the delivery of a new GEM/Frame-based contract management solution for a large enterprise software company. The solution meets the company’s unique requirements for scalability and openness to a broad range of content management and workflow components.
“This implementation was a perfect test and a true testament to the promise of platform independence, which GEM/Frame, our flagship application development platform, brings to the market”, said Roumen Antonov, Galantis CEO.
The solution provides document management and workflow capabilities to the company’s contract review business process and uses Apache Jackrabbit, a popular open source content repository, JBoss jBPM, an open source workflow server, and GEM/Frame, Galantis’ application framework for systems integration, business logic implementation and user interfaces.
The system supports the full contract management cycle and includes popular business functions, such as contract creation, review and approval, execution, revision and archiving, without the use of high-end commercial ECM platforms.
Apache Jackrabbit is an open source content repository, which implements the Content Repository for Java technology API (JCR).
JBoss jBPM is a platform for multiple process languages supporting workflow, BPM, and process orchestration. JBoss jBPM enables the creation of business processes that coordinate between people, applications and services. Designed for the mass market as well as supporting enterprise scale applications, jBPM bring process automation to a much wider set of business problems ranging from embedded workflow to enterprise business process orchestration and BPM.
GEM/Frame, or Galantis Enterprise Management Framework, is a toolkit for delivering business process automation solutions rapidly. It is a high-level integration framework created by Galantis for Business Process Management and Enterprise Content Management platforms. The system is scheduled to go in production on September 4, 2006.
